Marvel Rivals Celebrates 20 Million Players with Upcoming Winter Celebration Update and Festive Events

As the Winter Celebration update approaches for Marvel Rivals, the online shooter has recently achieved an impressive milestone, reaching 20 million players just two weeks after its launch. This accomplishment sets a strong tone for the game's ongoing popularity.

Marvel Rivals officially reached the milestone of 20 million players within its initial month of debut. This news was relayed through a social media announcement by NetEase, emphasizing their excitement over the achievement for their 6v6 multiplayer shooter.

In the announcement, the company expressed immense gratitude for every participant who has entered the game. Marvel Rivals became available to the gaming community on December 6 for platforms such as PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and personal computers. It quickly attracted over 444,000 simultaneous players on Steam within its opening day.

To commemorate this accomplishment, NetEase is offering a special in-game spray for players. To claim this giveaway, players need to log in between December 20 and January 10, 2025.

This significant achievement precedes the introduction of the Winter Celebration event, marking the first major update since the game's release. Scheduled to come out on December 20, this holiday-themed update will add a new limited-time 4v4 game mode named Jeff's Winter Splash Festival. In this mode, teams of four players must cover the winter map with their designated colors to win, echoing the mechanics of Splatoon.
